ARE WE IN A BULL MARKET?!
Amazon and Apple bring some positivity to the room. However, Celsius steals it.
Coo! Happy Friday, folks, it’s me, Crypto Owl! Today is Chicken Wing day, and I’m really glad that it’s not an Owl Wing day, to be honest.

TECH GIANTS ANNOUNCED EARNINGS, CRYPTO MARKET IS BLOOMING
This week is almost over. As well as announcements from the most important tech companies and governmental institutions that impact the whole financial sector and the market.
Let’s start with Amazon:
The company brought really good news: earnings are better than expected;
From the Q1, June quarter earnings grew 7%. So that’s really nice, especially after the news that Google and Microsoft missed estimated expectations;
Amazon’s Q2 revenue is $121.23 billion, and now the company is projecting 13%-17% growth in Q3 (sales between $125 and $130 billion) revenue, sooo - only positive vibes!
The cherry on top: Amazon shares jumped 13% in after-hours trading. I’m glad!
So far, so good. Next, we have Apple:
…which is a champion. Just like Amazon;
Apple has beaten Wall Street expectations for sales and profit, and now the company can keep its head up;
The company can celebrate its $83 billion earnings (last year’s earnings were $82.81 billion);
Apple stock grew more than 3% in after-hours trading;
However, it has been noticed that the demand for smartphones and PCs slowed down, so Apple, one of the leaders in this sector, can also face slower growth.
So, as you can see, only good news!
You know what’s even better? THE CRYPTO MARKET IS BLOOMING like flowers in early spring. And it melts my heart.
In the last 24 hours, crypto prices have flown up to the skies:
Bitcoin: + 4.03%,
Ethereum: + 5.10%,
Cardano: + 4.22%,
Solana: almost +10%!
Other altcoins like Polkadot, Dogecoin, Avalanche, etc., also went up.
Isn’t it exciting? Oh, at least I'm very happy with these bounces.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Economic Analysis announced…
Yesterday the U.S. Q2 GDP (gross domestic product) rates were presented, and they weren’t that great: GDP fell 0.9%. People started to worry about possible recession signals because it’s the second negative GDP (the Q1 GDP was -1.6%) in a row.
But, if we ask FED Chairman Jerome Powell, everything is fine. Powell says, “I do not think the U.S. is currently in a recession and the reason is there are too many areas of the economy that are performing too well.” I guess Powell tries to spread the message that raising interest rates by 0.75% is not the end of the world. Jerome Powell adds, “This is a very strong labor market ... it doesn’t make sense that the economy would be in a recession with this kind of thing happening.”
So… still good news? Or is it just a nice cover-up of an actual problem?
ARE YOU A DEPOSITOR OF CELSIUS? BE CAREFUL.
Oh, c’mon…
What happened this time?
Celsius has leaked some of their customer’s personal information to a third-party infringement (turns out it’s an error made by one of the employees, who accidentally shared a customer’s email list with a bad actor). The company revealed this information itself, so if you are a customer of this platform, be careful of possible phishing attacks.
According to Celsius, they do not see “any high risks” to their clients. Hmmm.. really, though?
Knowing the previous month’s context, this sounds not that trustworthy.
The community is not happy:
So, stay alert and do not open random links with “verify your wallet” or something like “provide this and that information”, even if they look legit.
FFF: FUNNY FRIDAY FACT
Thinking about getting married?
It is very possible that shortly you might do it in the metaverse. Yes, I’m serious.
On July 20, Singapore’s Second Minister spoke at TechLaw fest. He encouraged that such events as marriages, court cases, and various government events should be held legally in the virtual world.
South Korea’s government has already invested quite a lot (around $177 million) to contribute to the creation of the metaverse, so maybe they’re one step closer to organizing marriages (and other events) in the metaverse, too.
Write yourself and your partner on a waiting list!
